El Aynaoui speaks extremely highly of the Big Three.
Former world No. 14 Younes El Aynaoui insists those who are just starting to play tennis should look up to Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic, Federer and Nadal are all tied on the all-time Grand Slam record list with 20 Majors.
The Big Three have dominated the game for nearly the past two decades and they are considered as the three greatest players in tennis history. “I played against Federer and Nadal when they were both relatively young, I was able to beat them both.
Now I see that they are the three greatest players, although I never had a chance to play Djokovic. If we talk about self-control Rafa is the best, he never loses due to nerves or motivation. When it comes to beauty and fluidity, Federer is on top.
It is a pleasure to have the three best in history in the same era, the youngest should take them as an example. Unfortunately, there are others who prefer to stick with the examples of Benoit Paire or Nick Kyrgios. In my case, I would recommend paying attention to the highlights of Djokovic,” El Aynaoui told Tennismagazin, as quoted on Punto de Break.
El Aynaoui added more praise on Djokovic’s name
Former five-time ATP champion El Aynaoui now works at Djokovic’s academy and he has nothing but good to say of his the Serb handles the work at his academy. “Novak is amazing.
He decides everything for the academy. He plays a Grand Slam tournament, is world No. 1, helps other players and also takes care of the management of the academy. I couldn’t have done that. Even shortly before a match, he checks to see if everything is going well at the academy,” El Aynaoui said.
Meanwhile, five-time Paris champion Djokovic is set to return to action at the Paris Masters and play his first tournament since losing the US Open final.
