With the blockbuster fight against Anthony Joshua looking as far away as ever, Tyson Fury is looking for his next great challenge, and it appears as though he wants to face UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, although under specific fighting conditions.
Ngannou is currently discussing a new contract with the UFC, and has mandated that he wants the option to engage in boxing bouts as part of any new deal, especially with the champion having previously stated his desire to take on Joshua and Fury.
“Who would like to see me fight this beast, boxing rules with UFC gloves?” Fury posted on Twitter.
This statement kickstarted a fiery exchange between the pair on social media, with Ngannou replying immediately.
“How about MMA rules with boxing gloves? I can do you that favour,” Ngannou tweeted.
To which, Fury took the exchange to a new level, suggesting he would knock out the UFC star.
You want to come into my world calling me and Wilder out to a boxing match,” Fury added.
“What I can guarantee is you would be knocked out and also paid your highest purse to be so. So have a think.”
