Lewis Hamilton made a name for himself by winning his first Grand Prix in Canada back in 2007, fast-forward 14 years and he is the highest earner in the sport of Formula 1 and a legend in his own right.

 

 

So far, Hamilton has seven championships to his name, with 100 wins and 176 podium finishes. The Mercedes driver has been an inspiration to many and doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon.

Though he couldn’t beat max to his  eighth career championship with Mercedes, he has the highest salary of all Formula One drivers.

 

 

His base salary is 47 million euros, with his current bonuses at 3.4 million euros, and he’s projected to earn a further 6 million euros in bonuses as the season goes on. This brings his overall salary to 56.4 million euros.

 

 

After the relevant deductions added to his earnings over the years, with taxes and other expenditure applied, Lewis Hamilton is believed to be Britain’s richest sportsperson ever.

 

 

 

According to the Times, his net worth is 308 million euros in total. An impressive effort for one of Formula One’s most recognisable names.
