Back in 2019, Tyson Fury took Joseph Parker out for a night in Las Vegas where they bumped into Floyd Mayweather.

The New Zealander uploaded a picture of the three world class boxers enjoying themselves in Sin City, which happened as a result of his first fight with Derek Chisora falling through.

Parker answered to  James Savundra: “When I had to be taken out of the fight with health issues – Tyson called me up and said, ‘Hey, what are you up to? Come out for dinner.’

“So I went out for dinner and in Vegas the restaurants started playing music, ‘The champ is here, the champ is here.’

“Fury’s walking past and I’m walking behind him going, ‘Yeah!’

“We got a table at a nightclub, we went out and we saw Floyd and we were hanging out.

“For me it was just great to hang out and see how he goes out and has fun.”

Parker admitted he has a closer relationship with Fury than he does with his former opponent Anthony Joshua and is backing the ‘Gypsy King’ to beat AJ if they ever fight as a result.

He added: “I feel like a little biased, I feel like I give the edge towards Fury just because of the relationship we have.

“But if I sort of step back and watch – if I wasn’t involved in boxing – I would still think Fury.

“Just the weapons that he shows coming forward and being able to fight on the back foot.

“But then again, you’ve got a great champion in Joshua.

Parker’s fight with Chisora eventually happened in 2021, with the New Zealander emerging as the winner by split decision.

The pair will now rematch on Saturday night
