Paul has made a dig at Fury withdrawing from fights during his heavyweight career after his brother Tommy was forced to postpone his tilt with the YouTube star over a chest infection and broken rib..
Jake Paul has aimed a dig at Tyson Fury for pulling out of heavyweight fights after his brother Tommy was forced to abandon plans to face the YouTube star.
Tyson’s brother was forced to withdraw from his upcoming grudge match with Paul after suffering a broken rib and a chest infection during his training camp.
Build-up to the fight has been intense between both camps with Fury’s brother Tyson heavily involved in the ‘trash talk’ ahead of the illustrious showdown.
Paul confirmed news of the postponement on Twitter this evening where he accused the Fury family of fumbling a huge payday opportunity.
“I’m disappointed but not surprised,” Paul said. ” Tyson Fury has pulled out of five fights himself.
“Remember Timmy didn’t show up to the press conference either. Tommy Fumbles has officially fumbled the biggest payday of his life. Tyron is stepping in and this time I’m going to punish him and Leave No Doubt.”
The WBC heavyweight champion had a torrid time awaiting the trilogy with Deontay Wilder where he was forced to withdraw from the contest due to a positive coronavirus test.
Fury was also previously forced to abandon plans to face Wladimir Klitschko due to his declining physical health, in addition to a previous postponement against Alexander Ustinov.
Paul nw faces a rematch with previous opponent Tyron Woodley in order to preserve the date on December 18.
He was tested greatly by the former UFC champion who put up a strong showing including a near-stoppage in the fourth round.
But the 24-year-old managed to come through unscathed winning on a points decision after dominating large parts of the contest.
Woodley immediately sought a rematch by confronting Paul at the end of the fight, in addition to having a tattoo inked that was agreed as part of their pre-fight wager.
However Paul initially turned down the prospect of a second meeting to pursue a long-awaited clash with Fury, but it now appears he will turn back to his former rival.

Paul is confident of defeating Woodley for a second time later this month and previously claimed that Woodley was a much sterner examination of his credentials than what Fury was set to provide.
“Tommy is a different style than Tyron but he doesn’t have as much experience.” he said when asked if Fury will prove an easier fight than Woodley.
“My overall answer is yes, I think Tyron has way more experience, he’s been in with some UFC legends, he’s a five-time champion.
“All of them. have cracked and all of them have lost on the big stage against me and he’s going to crack (too). Tommy is an easier fight than Tyron, for sure, and I think I knock him out, for sure.
“I said that about Tyron but I think that’s the only time I’ve been wrong, but he came to fight that night and he’s been hit by some big guys; Tommy’s never been past four rounds.”
