The Irishman is involved in another controversial incident
Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti has brought charges against Conor McGregor for an alleged assault in Rome.
Facchinetti claims to have been beaten by the Irishman on a number of occasions, leading to him suffering a concussion, a broken nose and a lacerated lip. The 41-year-old musician was with his partner Wilma Faissol at the party, while McGregor was there with his, Dee Devlin.
It has been alleged that McGregor assaulted the Italian as the latter was looking to leave the party, but was cornered by the fighter’s friends and bodyguards.
“McGregor punched me in the mouth, broke my nose in front of 10 witnesses,” Facchinetti said on social media, “his friends and his bodyguards.
“He attacked me for no reason after we had spoken for two hours and had a good time together. I could have shut up and said nothing, but I’m telling you.
“He’s a very violent person and he’s dangerous. We see him as a hero, but he’s really just a thug of the worst kind.”
The incident took place at the St. Regis Hotel, who have assured that the police have their full cooperation in their investigation and security footage has been handed over.
According to another DJ in attendance, McGregor was beside Facchinetti when, all of a sudden, he decided to punch him.
McGregor is yet to comment on the allegations.
It’s not the first controversy the Irishman has been involved in. In 2019 he was involved in a similar incident in Dublin, Ireland, attacking another customer at a pub.
